Alajeró is a municipality located on the south of La Gomera in the Canary Islands.

This precious municipality is recognized by its marvellous ravines and terraces. In Alajeró you’ll be delighted by the endearing natural sceneries with palms, almond trees, cactuses among others. This is a place to enjoy nature, sun and sea with a tremendous quietness (far away from the tourist packed regions).

This destination also has many important monuments such as the El Salvador Church, from the XVI century, the San Lorenzo Hermitage and many other natural monuments as the Erque Ravine, the La Caldera Volcano and the Drago de Agalán, all of them a must-see.

A good time to visit Alajeró is during September as it’s when they celebrate the traditional Fiesta de la virgen del paso. A very typical festivity of La Gomera.

Its beaches are very beautiful and all of them with quiet crystal clear waters perfect for bathing. Among all its beaches we recommend a visit to Erese Beach, La Cantera and La Negra Beach
In this municipality you might also find the touristic centre of Santia

In this municipality you might also find the touristic centre of Playa Santiago, where you might enjoy an attractive environment that goes well together with the traditional maritime environment.
