Some of the local hikers say that if you’re visiting Gran Canaria the only way you’ll only really see it is by hiking. Hiking in Gran Canaria will allow you to explore some of the island’s best trails from where you might see its magnificent mountains. There are many routes for experts or beginners and you might even engage on group hiking trips to the centre of this island.
It’s important to remind that the local government invested on the recovery of the “Camino Real” (Royal Roads) - ancient paths - where you might walk inside the nature and discover its best kept secrets. These ancient paths are sometimes the only way to reach the inner parts of this island and some of its 66.000 hectare of protected land.
We advise you to always carry some warm clothes, food, plenty of water as the weather conditions on the middle of the island might be very different from the weather near the beach.
Considering all this, we wish you all the fun in Gran Canaria.
