Gran Tarajal Beach

Relax and take some sun at the Gran Tarajal beach in the municipality of tuineje on the island of Fuerteventura.

Gran Tarajal Beach is located in Gran Tarajal in the municipality of Tuineje, on the Southeast coast of Fuerteventura.

The singularity of this beach relies on the fact of being one of the few dark sandy beaches on this island. It isn’t a crowded beach and usually you’ll only find some fishermen and locals.

We should highlight that this beach as smooth waters where it’s usually celebrated the Fishing Championship, during the month of September of each year. During this period you’ll easily see hundreds of fishing boats ready to capture big tuna fishes or swordfish.

How to get here:

To get to the Gran Tarajal Beach it’s advisable to rent a car and head to the town of Gran Tarajal through the FV-4.

It’s also possible to get here by public transport taking the buses that departure from Puerto del Rosario and Morro Jable (not many connections)
