El Cotillo is a small coastal town in the municipality of La Oliva, in the Northeast of the island of Fuerteventura.

El Cotillo is a quiet town, even though it’s slightly isolated from the most famous touristic areas in Fuerteventura, it still offers picturesque and interesting places you shouldn’t avoid visiting.

One of the must-see sites is the Tostón Castle, from where you might take a look at one of the best views over the island. Moreover, in its interior you’ll find much touristic information to help planning your holidays.

Something you should highlight in this town is its beaches. El Cotillo Beaches are very good beaches, specially the ones on the south as they’re usually very extensive and have white sand. Even if you visit these beaches during the most warm crowdy days, you’ll never see them packed.

How to get here?

You might get to El Cotillo by public transport, as there are many regular bus lines from Corralejo and Puerto del Rosario that might bring you here many times a day.

One of the most interesting routes on this area is going by car from Corralejo to El Cotillo by the coastal area, as in this journey you’ll find nearly virgen, spectacular beaches. You might find car rental offers here.
