El Tostón Castle is located on the north coast of Fuerteventura in the location of El Cotillo inside the municipality of La Oliva, in the Canary Islands.
The El Tostón Castle has been declared Cultural Historical-Artistic Interest Monument since 1949, and it’s a good example of the importance of El Cotillo’s Natural Port.
This precious cylindrical shape castle holds, nowadays, an important cultural space that hosts many contemporary temporary exhibitions. It also has a tourism desk and might be seen as an important viewpoint as from here you might contemplate amazing panoramic views over the beaches area of El Cotillo.
To get here you should pass the cobblestone staircase till you reach the drawbridge with old forged steel chains. Its interior is built by stone vaults.
To get here it’s advisable to rent a car and take the FV10 till El Cotillo. Once inside this town you’ll find numerous signs to get to the castle.
