The Los Volcanes Natural Park offers a startling landscape originated by the last volcanic eruption on this island.
This is a volcanic landscape with strange and interesting formations built by after the lava solidification. Vegetation on this area is very scarce and it’s only present on the oldest lava structures, where you might find thousands of lichens species.
Regarding its fauna, there are many reptile and bird species well adapted to this surprising life conditions. These are some reasons why this park was classified as Bird Special Protection Area.
