The San marcial del Rubicón Church is located in Femés in the municipality of Yaiza in Lanzarote.
This historical church was built on 1630, replacing the old hermitage-cathedral that was destroyed by english pirates in 1593.
The church has one principal nave with triumphal arch that leads to the presbytery which contains several altarpieces and one central niche with a painting of patron saint.
On its original facade you might find a stone plate sculpted in memory of the bishop Don Pedro Manuel Davila y Cárcenas which allowed many improvements in the temple.
Its covered by wood and it presents a moorish style. In its interior you can see the patron of the isle San Marcial de Rubicón as well as many altarpieces and model ships donated by local sailors.
The church was restored in 1712 and rebuilt in 1730.
On the 7th July every year its the patron saint is celebrated.
