Breña Baja, La Palma

Breña Baja is a municipality located on the East zone of La Palma, in the old canton of Tedote. This small municipality has an extension of 15 square meters. It’s capital is San José and it is more or less at 300 meters above sea level.

On this picturesque municipality you might find many palms. The area of Zumacal, located between the two breñas, is a good example of environmental balance. Also, in El Socorro, you might find an hermitage that dates back to the XVI century.

Breña Baja has many must see sites as the Los Cancajos Beach and the Montaña de la Breña.

The most important festivity is Santa Ana (on the 25th July) which has a craftwork fair that present numerous handmade products.
