Los Llanos de Aridane are located on the West slope of La Palma.

Los Llanos de Aridane are considered one of the most important banana areas in the Canary Islands.

It’s historical centre is located at 325 meters high and it is the most important economic and commercial centre of La Palma

This municipality always knew how take advantage of the water from the Taburiente Cauldron to water the reedbed and the banana trees. This municipality has a 36 square kilometers extension with acreage of more than 15000 hectares of banana trees and 100 hectares of avocado.

This location also has great avenues and an urban modern outline while it still maintains the small streets and beautiful original squares as the Elías Santos Abreu Square, or the Argual Square.

The city also has two main religious buildings, the Nuestra Señora de los Remedios Church, and the Las Angustias Hermitage.

The main touristic centre of Los Llanos de Aridane is Puerto Naos, an endearing site around the Puerto Naos Beach, a beautiful black sandy beach. More to the south you’ll find two other beaches Las Monjas Beach and Charco Verde.

One of the best dates to visit this municipality is during the 2nd July as it’s when the Virgen de Los Remedios Festivities take place. Another important festivity is the Virgen de Las Angustias on the 15th August.
