The old Puntallana City Centre is one of the first population nuclei formed after the conquest of the La Palma island, constituting one of the finest examples of the traditional island’s architecture.
Its foundation is directly related with the existence of two manantiales: the San Juan Fountain and la Fuentiña.
On the old city centre of Puntallana you’ll find three types of houses: the colonial houses, the double-decked houses and the manor houses.
We should also highlight the presence of the San Juan Bautista Church, patron of Puntallana and considered Cultural Interest Good in the category of Monument, dating back to the XVI century. Moreover, in one of the typical streets in the old centre you’ll also find the Luján House a colonial house turned into a museum.
