The Santa Cruz de La Palma Town Hall is located in the heart of Santa Cruz de La Palma, on the capital of the island of La Palma.
This building, where you might find the Santa Cruz de La Palma Town Hall dates back to the XVI century and it was edified by the huguenots in 1553 after the fire that destroyed most of the old town halls. This monument, with civil architecture, is the most representative of the Renaissance in the Canary Islands.
Its facade was built between 1560 and 1567, with stone brought from La Gomera. On the lintel of one of the windows you might read a carving saying “Invido Virtute Superabis”.
