Cueva de Los Viejos Cove is located between towns of Ángel and La Primavera in the municipality of El Sauzal on the north of Tenerife.
The coastal areas were chosen by the guanches (native population of the Canary Islands) to settle, as proven by the 12 habitational coves found by modern archaeologists in this main end. In the interior of the coves they found ceramic fragments, large spears and stone spheroids. The biggest deposit considered by experts was Los Viejos Cove.
This cove was named by traditional locals of El Sauzal and it has some of the most attractive and impressive cliffs on the whole region. It’s located 150 above the sea level and it has 30 meters depth. Nowadays it’s private property.
