Lago Martiánez (Martiánez Lake) is part of a touristic complex known as Martiánez Coast embedded on the beautiful town of Puerto de la Cruz.
The Lago Martiánez has more than 50.000 square meters and it forms one of the most famous touristic complexes on this island. Since it was built, by the famous artist César Manrique, it has become an important esthetic and technique referential referring to the correct cultural and landscape integration of the touristic and entertainment facilities.
This is an artificial salt water lake simulating a gigantic emerald surrounded by ample and quiet areas with solariums, beaches and exotic gardens.
This lake occupies a surface of 33.000 square meters claimed to the sea.
This lake includes five natural islands, one of which (the central one) has an underwater party room. The other four islands hold a luxury restaurant a grill among other facilities.
This is a very successful location and it has already been declared as Cultural Interest Good.
