The San Amaro Hermitage is located in Puerto de la Cruz, on the north of Tenerife.
The San Amaro Hermitage is the oldest religious building in Puerto de la Cruz, dating back to 1591. From this hermitage you might see the simple architecture of one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Valle de la Orotava as many it used to receive many people from the island to celebrate its festivities (San Amaro) on the 15th January every year.
In its interior is hosts the image of San Amaro, a small wooden sculpture with the San Benito habit. It also has a sculpture of Nuestra Señora de La Paz as well as many mexican paintings from the XVIII century.
