San Telmo Hermitage, Tenerife

The San Telmo Hermitage is located near the San Telmo Beach, in Puerto de la Cruz, on the north of Tenerife.

The San Telmo Hermitage, declared Cultural Interest Good, in 1780, in a plain with many coves. This building has one rectangular floor, it has a wooden paneling with double straps.
In its presbytery you might admire a niche from the XVII century.

In this hermitage it’s worshiped the image of San Telmo, hosting a sculpture from the 1783 century.

Nowadays this sculpture is taken on procession together with the image of Nuestra Señora de la Virgen del Carmen in the patronal festivities during the month of July.
An important festivity is also the San Telmo festivity on the beginning of June.
