The San Francisco Church in Puerto de la Cruz was built between 1599 and 1608 by the artist Juan de Texera.
The San Francisco Church, was considered an Artistic Historic Interest Good in the category of monument. It’s composed by an nave and half, as the half corresponds to the old hermitage, being the oldest part of the building.
Its interior is divided into several chapels, all of them with their own altarpieces and with many wooden coffered objects.
The chapels are independent. We should highlight the altarpieces from the Nieves Ravelo family, the El Cristo de la Humildad, the Paciencia and the Inmaculada, all from the XVIII century.
This church also has an important gothic style cross.
