The San Juan Bautista Church in San Juan square in La Orotava, on the north of Tenerife.
On the same location was built, in 1608, a small hermitage on lands offered by Francisco de Valcárcel. From the original construction you might only see the later temple facade, from 1728 with typical canons from the moorish architecture.
In its interior there’s a single floor cross-shaped, the biggest in the Canary islands. Its bigger chapel has a neoclassic tabernacle, designed by José Béthencourt y Castro in 1787.
