The Carta Palace is located in the La Candelaria Square in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The construction of this palace was ordered by Matías Rodríguez Carta in 1721 but it wasn’t finished until 1752. It’s a real architectonic jewel which mixes the neoclassic and the canary baroque a monument you ought to visit on your trip to this city.
In its interior you’ll find many canary style patios. This building was the first to obtain the Cultural Interest Good Denomination (on 1947) in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and one of the first in the Canary Islands.
Nowadays you can only observe this monument from the outside as this building is for sale.
