The Regional Military Museum, inaugurated in 1988, is placed in the Cuartel de Almeida in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The Regional Military Museum exposes numerous objects related with the interesting military history of the Canary Islands. Among all exhibitions we should highlight the Cañón el Tigre, which according to the story, grabbed the arm of admiral Nelson while trying to conquer the island in 1797.
Among its exhibitions you’ll find many uniforms and military celebrity’s objects as well as interesting models of ancient military constructions.
This museum has an exhibition extension of more than 900 square meters divided into different rooms which present the military History of the Canary Islands. This museum is accessible for disabled people.
