The San Luis Franciscan Convent is located in Granadilla de Abona, an extensive municipality on the south of Tenerife, in the Canary Islands.
The San Luis Franciscan Convent was founded by the bishop D. Fray Juan de Toledo in 1665. The building was dedicated to San Luis, Tolosa’s bishop, even though is mostly known as San Francisco.

The owners own servants were in charge of the reconstruction in order to make it similar to the original.
The convent was closed by the monks on 1821 and later used as an administrative bureaucratic centre, hosting the town hall till its fatidic collapse in 1963.
Even though of this destruction, the municipal dependences were reinstalled on this locations. On the early 90’s suffered a new fire and in 2004 was again rebuilt and proclaimed Artistic Historic Monument.
