The Cueva Pintada Museum is located in the municipality of Gáldar, on the Northwest of the island of Gran Canaria, in the Canary islands.

This interesting site has some of the most relevant deposits in the Canary Islands. Here you might find the most transcendental sides of the old inhabitants of this island as, for example, how did they live, how were their houses, their costumes, which tools they’ve used, and others.
We should know that inside the museum and archaeological site of Cueva Pintada you might also admire an exceptional set of pre hispanic rock carvings.

If you wish to visit the Cueva Pintada Museum and Archaeological Site it’s advisable to rent a car and head to Gáldar through the north GC-2 road. The museum is located in the historic centre of Gáldar and has many signs pointing to it.

Tuesday to Saturday from 9.30am till 8pm. Sundays from 11am till 8m.
On the 24th and 31st December the schedule is from 9.30am till 3pm.
Every mondays and on the 1st and 6th January, 1st May and 25th December the site’s closed.
