The Pilancones Natural Park is located in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana on the south of Gran Canaria.
This colossal natural park occupies an extension of 5.794 hectare and it has deep ravines enclosed by narrow openings.
On the highest peaks of the park you’ll see many Canary Islands’ Pine forests while on the lower regions you’ll mostly find cardonal.
On this natural space you’ll also see many endemic protected species. Furthermore the presence of a population of dragos is very relevant.
In this territory you might even find important archaeological sites as, for example, the tumulus necropolis of Arteara.
The access is done through a road that links Maspalomas with San Bartolomé, through Fataga.
