The Villa de Moya municipality is located on the north region of the Gran Canaria island only 25 kms away from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Moya has much natural and cultural heritage. Here you might observe some important archaeological discoveries as, for example, the Cueva de Doramas or the Las Cuevas de la Montañeta.
If you enjoy nature you should know that this municipality is also known as “Villa Verde” or Green Town due to its natural resources. Moreover, 60% of the Moya Extension is Protected Natural Space. Some of its most important sites are the Los Tiles Special Natural Reserve and the Barranco Oscuro Natural Reserve located on the Doramas Rural Park.
The Moya Coast also has excellent beaches with an extension of more than 4 kilometers. Between its beaches we recommend Caleta Beach and the natural pools of Charco de San Lorenzo.
If you enjoy practicing some sports you should also know that the Caleta Beach is visited by worldwide surfers due to its excellent surfing conditions.
There’s nothing better than enjoying a pleasant walk while admiring the most emblematic buildings among those we highlight the Tomás Morales Museum House, the San Bartolomé de Fontanales Hermitage, the Heredad de Aguas and the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria Church.
