The Alfredo Kraus Auditorium was built near the Las Canteras Beach in the city of Las Palmas, on the northeast of Gran Canaria.
This building was designed by the catalan architect Óscar Tusquets and it seems like a huge fortress, it’s one of the most insolit building on this island.
In this building, apart from hosting different symphonic music concerts, it also hosts the Opera Festival and an instrumental and concerts agenda throughout the year.
It’s also important to mention that this auditorium is also used as one of the headquarters of the International Cine Festival and also the Canary Islands Music Festival.
Near the building you’ll find a tribute monument to the gran canary tenor Alfredo Kraus one of the well-known singing figures from the second-half of the XX century. This sculptures has nearly 8 meters high and was inaugurated in 2001.

You might take a 50 minutes guided-tour through this building. You just need to book previously on the phone designated the language desired. The price is 2,40€ per person for groups bigger than 25 people. Children, students and unemployed.
