The Vegueta Market is placed in the heart of the Vegueta borough, in the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in the island of Gran Canaria.
This was the first market ever built in the Canary Islands, dating back to 1863 a time when there was a serious shortage problem in some of the islands and the communication among them was difficult. To solve this problem they’ve decided to create a central market, in the most important city at the time.
Nowadays in this market you might see a fusion of modernity and tradition, still being one of the most important markets in the Canary Islands. A place where you might find all kinds of dairy products at a fair price.
This market has many different facilities such as : Free Parking, possibility to pay with credit card, shopping carts, among others.
